A lot of people out there seem to think that looking after fish is actually something that is very easy to do well this is simply not true at all and there are so many things you must look into when it comes to getting your very first tropical tank or marine fish tank here are a couple of tips on making that dream of the perfect tank true!

Bigger is not always better but if you have the money I would look into getting something like a 90 litre tank because small tanks are not actually the most ideal thing for a beginner and this is because it is easier to have stable temperature and water chemistry in a larger tank. when it comes to space you are going to need a lot of it for a large tank. make sure you actually discuss a decision like this with your family first!

when it comes to filter sponges make sure you do not wash them off in the tap because you will get rid of the beneficial bacteria.

you also need to make sure that you are not feeding your fish all of the time because too much food is never good for them. when it comes to feeding you need to make sure you put a bit in first then a bit more, only twice a day at the maximum!!

do try and make sure you do not put the new fish straight into the new tank, get something known as a quarantine tank if you can, this way the new fish can get used to the old fish as well as the water temperature you have!

If you are following these tips and you have the right aquarium supplies then there is no reason at all why you cannot make a success out of your new fish tank!
